Wipe Updates for Feb, 2024

All servers have been wiped. Welcome to February's wipe! This is a 5 week wipe cycle, so we will be wiping on week 3. As a reminder, mid wipe won't be a BP wipe. We have made a lot of changes for this wipe. Lots of new features, QoL and a new more powerful server for Main. Check em out below. February Design Contest:

Updates/Changes:

  1. We have upgraded to a more powerful server (33% improvement over the old server). Mike has new shoes (again). But this time with the same IP as before. It handled 500,000 entities with grace. This will allow us to have more events and NPCs/animals around the map. Hope you all enjoy the smoother gameplay <3. 
  2. The shop has been updated with a new look/some additional new items: shop.relicpve.com
  3. Missile Silo is now a Darkzone with the most difficult NPCs (including a sniper at the site). These Darkzone Scientist have the highest Reaper drop rate.
  4. Chad is now on a 2 - 3 hour spawn timer, increased his time out, buffed his health a little, and lowered his bullet accuracy. Tried to address the random Chad aggro. Been difficult trying to get that to play nice with everything and Chad's hostile programming/logic. 
  5.  We have a new mini game event called Brink! It will run at around 5PM EST everyday. Winner takes 1,000 XP. It's like our towerfall event. With some mollies to make it interesting. You will be teleported to the event arena so no worries about losing items (it's instanced).
  6. Kathleen's end boss has been renamed to Radiax (to replace Fenris), he is located on top of Launch site. He's a bit more buffed and well guarded up there. 
  7. New boss named Wildfang, working on his quest line right now. He drops a sword that will be required for completion of the quest. 
  8. Pumpjacks can now be upgraded (3 times). You can still have a total of 5. Nerfed HQM from quarries a bit (this is to prepare for turn in vendor CD removal/perk). 
  9. Elite members can now apply a building skin of their choosing through the TC. It will auto update every piece of your base. Just open your TC and click the "change building skin" button!
  10. Fixed terrain violations. If you clip the world while in your dev car, it will no longer kill you. 
  11. Colter (the gunsmith at Outpost) is now just accepting scrap for the weapons. Too many players were having issues with the weapon turn in. Calamity will now be 10,000 scrap, the Fatebringer will be 12,500 scrap, and the Python will be 7,000 scrap plus a pookie. 
  12. Launch site Darkzone Scientists have been adjusted to new locations. In puzzle and near Brad booth. 
  13. /lastchad and /lastbrad are now commands. They will show the last 5 players to kill Brad or Chad.

Mid-wipe changes:

  1. We have reduced the vendor cooldown at Bandit. We x10 the turn in amount and decreased the cooldown to 5 seconds. 
  2. All modded weapons can now be repaired correctly. Had a bit of an issue with Ace of Spades so it no longer takes durability loss. All other guns should repair just fine.
  3. You can now purchase tugboats again at small or large fishing villages.
  4. /dance has been added as a perk for VIP. Dance emotes/gestures.
  5. Colter's prices for the modded guns has been reduced (you no longer need to turn the gun in). Python 5k. Calamity 8k. Fatebringer 10k. 
  6. Fixed modded weapon damage to buildings.
  7. Train event is now active on Main. Will push to EU after a couple days. 🙂 Chooo chooo!
  8. Made it so tugboats no longer drift to shore.
  9. Raidbase inactivity counter reduced from 25m to 12m.
  10. Made some changes to the Brad commands. Now when you @brad -- you will claim the next spawned Bradley. You must be in the zone (Launch Site) to claim (@brad) and you must remain there until he spawns and dies. After death Brad can be claimed again.
  11. We have removed the parachutes from the supply signals (they fall a bit faster now). Increased their height so no more glowing red when they fly by. The parachutes cause a lot of data to transmit to everyone on the server.
