Wipe Updates for July, 2025

New stuff!
- -- New event. Cobalt Scrap Transport unit will be transporting scrap on the roads. Heavily guarded so be careful!
- -- Drones are now patrolling above Launch Site and Missile Silo. They are hostile and will attack if they sense you near.
- -- New legendary armor (world drop from Darkzone NPCs & raidbases). Vengeance Facemask and Vengeance Chestpiece. These pieces of armor will pretty much turn you into a tank plus immunity to some elements.
- -- A new armor set (Vanguard) is now being sold at Outpost (Ezra in the gunsmith building). He will give you details on the stats.
- -- The Breacher (a modified double barrel shotgun with 8 rounds of stopping power) is now being sold by Holt at Outpost.
- -- New daily quest at Arbington, Hunter’s Instinct (kill 10 wild animals) and Airspace Denied (kill 20 drones). These quests can be completed every 24 hours.
- -- Personal recyclers have been updated to accept industrial automation.
QoL Changes!
- -- When falling through the map (dev car, cars & minis clipping through, etc.) items are instantly sent to your death location instead of falling through the world.
- -- Removal tool (/remove) now refunds items back to you when removed.

What happened?
Bad timing. Our servers have a startup script that will update the server and oxide (our plugins) during restart. This script has a 10 second delay between updating Rust and updating oxide. Our server monitor checked to see if the server was online at 6AM EST, and that too has a delay of a couple minutes (to give grace if the server is starting during that time). I have our server monitor run on some odd times to keep this from happening but it fell on bad timing this restart.Turn of events:
Server shutdown at 6AM EST > couple seconds later server monitor pings server to see if it's online > fails/offline (starts delay) > 6:02AM server starts to update > completes update > server begins to update oxide > server monitor rechecks to see if server is online, fails > server force starts, canceling oxide update > server starts without oxide.
Fix?
I increased the delay on the server monitor to ten minutes to allow time for the server to update (both game and oxide) and begin it's startup sequence uninterrupted. Additionally a couple safeguards in our restart script.My goal is to keep the server online and running. I apologize for the inconvenience of the rollback and the issue at hand. Please create a ticket if you need assistance.
