Generator + electric items on tugboat

It would be so cool to have stuff like electric furnaces, light, disco boat, boombox for music, maybe even a turret to shoot oilrig from the computer table?
i suggest the generator only to balance it with the need of constant low grade fuel, or maybe other ideas?
